We may not be Trendsetters but most of the times, we are trend followers. Besides the Ebola virus, the ‘ALS Ice Bucket Challenge’ is one such trend that is going viral in the world today. Corporate giants like Bill Gates, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo and many others have already accepted this challenge and had the chill of the Ice water!
This is a petty fun challenge with a social cause involved. Once challenged by someone, one should pour a bucket of ice water on themselves and record a video of the same or donate to the ALS Association, a non-profit organization. They can challenge three others and the challenged should accept and do it within 24 hours. This was initiated to raise funds and bring awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (or Lou Gehrig’s disease), a fatal neurodegenerative disease.
And chubby beauty Hansika Motwani has started this trend amongst celebrities by accepting this challenge. She has emptied a bucket of ice water and challenged three others. The Ice Bucket video of Hansika is going as rampant as the Ice Bucket Challenge trend.
