You might agree with us when we say Tollywood is becoming responsible for a new experimental genre called as horror comedy. It began with ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ and it got elevated with the recent release ‘Geethanjali’. The latter project starring Anjali in the lead role became an overwhelming success.
Now, if you are living in Chennai and regret missing the chance of watching it onscreen then here is good news. ‘Geethanjali’ is all set to release in Chennai and it is on August 22nd which coincidentally happens to be the birthday of megastar Chiranjeevi. It is heard that a grand release is being planned in the Sambar land.
As such, Chennai is filled with a lot of Telugu families and at one point even Andhra Pradesh was part of the Madras province. So far, it was only the big star films which used to have a release in Chennai but ‘Geethanjali’ seems to be opening up the doors for small budget flicks as well. Let us wait to see how the Telugu/Tamil Thambis receive it.
