But if there is any director who has a special regard for item girls and even encourages them with special characters in his films, it is obviously Puri Jagannadh. He supported Mumaith Khan (with his films 143, Bujjigadu, Pokiri, Neninthe etc), Alphonsa (in Amma Nanna Tamil Ammai) and then Gabriela Bertante (in Devudu Chesina Manushulu). We know his films have chartbuster item numbers.
Now according to inside sources, this ace director is in look out for a zabardast item girl for his upcoming film with Jr NTR. The film’s shoot has already begun and is currently in progress at Dhoolpet, Hyderabad. If our sources are to be believed, there is scope for a zesty item number in the film and the director is apparently considering the former “Salman Girl” Zarine Khan (who acted in films Ready, Veer etc with Salman Khan) for this item number.
Zarine Khan who was in the city recently for a fashion event, dropped in to meet Puri Jagannadh at his 'Cave’ (office) and was spotted along with the cricketer Sreeshanth in a petty mocktail party in the director’s Cave. This appearance has apparently added base to the rumors that Puri is going to cast her in his upcoming film with NTR. Let's see if we can see this dusky beauty sizzling on the Telugu celluloid!
