The season of remakes is flourishing in Tollywood these days and some of the top heroes are coming up with remakes. The talk now is about the two films Gopala Gopala starring Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan and Drushyam with Venky which is running successfully at BO. Both the films are remakes and Drushyam was a complete frame to frame lift and shift project from the original Malayalam version with the same title.
And for that subject and the storyline, it is the right way to recreate it. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with Gopala Gopala which is the remake of the Bollywood hit Oh My God starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Apparently, Akshay‘s dynamics and Pawan’s dynamics are different given their image and fan following.
That way, converting it frame to frame will not be that easy. Moreover, since the movie has Pawan Kalyan, the trade analysts are of the opinion that, there is a need to stretch as it gives the movie more weightage. Well, the makers should be aware of this fact and should have done the essential changes already.
The shooting is progressing at brisk pace and as of now, the expectations are quite high. Let’s wait and see how the final product shapes up.
