Senior actor Rajashekar is leaving no stone unturned to make a comeback. It has been almost ages since he heard the word ‘hit’ [Will someone mention Evadaithe Nakenti? It’s okay!] That is supposedly why, he has changed gears and increased his acceleration doing back-to-back movies. While his upcoming silent thriller Pattapagalu is already up for a release, he turned producer for yet another film.
News has it that super hit Tamil comedy film Soodhu Kavvum is going to be remade in Telugu. Tollywood actor Rajashekar has reportedly pickedup the remake rights of the film by about Rs. 75 lakhs from PVP Cinemas. It is also heard that the actor might play an important role in the film. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the Tamil film features Vijay Sethupathy and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles,while an ensemble supporting cast includes Radha Ravi, Ashok Selvan and Karthik Subbaraj, amongst others. The movie was a cracker hit in Tamil generating an incredible return of investment generating about a whopping Rs. 4 crore, having made on a shoe-string budget of just around Rs. 40 lakhs
If our reports are to be believed, actor cum director JD Chakravarthy will helm this project and Rajashekar’s spouse Jeevitha might produce the film under their home banner.
Even J.D is in desperate need of a hit. So both Rajasekhar and J.D are pinning high hopes on this film.
