It is a well-known fact that Attarintiki Daredi is a phenomenal success both on the celluloid and Telugu small screen too. The film was telecasted on 11th Jan in MAA TV on the festive eve of Sankranthi. Well, the film recorded a fantabulous rating of 19.04, a mind-boggling number that drives the television market crazy.
But when we dug deep into this, we found some interesting facts about the films that registered some record numbers. Nagarjuna’s devotional classic Sri Ramadasu stands first in the history of movie ratings on Telugu Television with a record rating of 22 on its first telecast [Source: TAM].
Next to it was Siddharth-Trisha starrer Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana with a rating above 20 on its first ever telecast.
The recent telecast of AD falls next with a rating of 19.04 in the CS 4+ category (a vital category of television business comprising of audience above 4yrs old).
These ratings are measured by Television Audience Measurement [a standard Television measuring agency] which releases the ratings weekly. So, the Powerstar is close to the peak and can anytime break the record – after all, records are meant to be broken… isn’t it?
