Tamannah- the name speaks of sweetness, grace, and enormous talent! In the era where most of the female leads are confined to only glamour, external appearance and more of plastic looks, Tamannah was a like a whiff of fresh air with the innocent girl next door look in Sekhar Kammula’s Happy Days released in 2007. The freshness did not end with just her appearance but she proved that she can emote, perform and excel in pivotal scenes as well. It is with very few heroines such incidents happened in Telugu Cinema.
A girl from Punjabi origin, Tamannah was a quick learner and understood the ways of Tollywood very easily. She even picked up the language and shocked the audience with her neat Telugu during many events and occasions. Tamannah’s next breakthrough in Telugu came when she was paired opposite Siddarth in Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam. The lively way in which she played the character ‘Geetha’ is still remembered by the audience. She earned many fans not only in Tollywood but also throughout South India with films like Awara (Dubbed from Paiyya- Tamil) , Oosaravelli and so on. However, it was 100% Love which got her huge craze all over with the fantastic performance and brilliant chemistry with her co-star Naga Chaitanya.
Tamannah worked brilliantly on her dancing skills as she progressed in her career and it was quite evident in her film Badrinath. Though the film didn’t fare well at the Box Office, her dances with Stylish Star Allu Arjun were highly appreciated. She even earned much appreciation for her dance opposite Ram Charan in Racha- for the “Vaana Vaana…” remix.
The multi faceted Tamannah, fondly called as ‘Milky Beauty’ by Tollywood is celebrating her birthday today. Wishing the actress a wonderful birthday with a lively year ahead!
