BVSN Prasad is a noted producer in Tollywood whose wheel of fortune is spinning in the opposite direction. He is the only producer who is credited to deliver blockbuster flops in the nearest past, be it the ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ with Puri Jagannadh or ‘Ongolu Gitta’ with Bommarillu Bhaskar.
Pawan Kalyan agreed to do a film with BVSN Prasad and bring him out of this flop pot hole. Hoping to erase the bad karma, he immediately started the movie ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ with Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. The movie finished on time, audio was a super hit and the satellite rights were sold for a fancy price. The film release date was announced as 7th, Aug and made good business with a table profit of Rs.10Cr prior to its release. He got to see profits for the first time in a while.
When everything was sailing smoothly, his Karma started to haunt him again. Political situation in AP changed with the announcement of separate Telangana, followed by agitations in Seemandhra. As a result all the movie releases got postponed. The movie which initially made table profit is now paying an interest of Rs. 2Cr every month. Power Star was supposed to save BVSN Prasad from his financial woes, but FATE had something in store for him. Even BVSN Prasad latest flick ‘Sahasam’ opened to good reviews but there were no news about its collection. Let’s hope ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ lives up to its hype and scores a block buster with record collections.
