Slumdog Millionaire’ fame Dev Patel is all set to don the role of legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in a Hollywood film 'The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan', while ‘The King's Speech’ fame Colin Firth is likely to play the English mathematician G.H. Hardy’s role. The story will be adopted by Matthew Brown from Robert Kanigel’s book “The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan”. Edward R Pressman and Prashita Chaudhary`s Cinemorphic Entertainment Company will be roducing this biopic. . Pressman says that Brown is very passionate about this movie, which is similar to ‘A Beautiful Mind’ but with an historical perspective. Apart from portraying Ramanujan as a mathematical genius, this movie will also talk about his love story. According to the producers this movie will begin shooting in India and England this autumn.
Earlier there was news floating that Madhavan would play the title role, but nothing has been confirmed so far. More interestingly Mahanati Savitri’s grandson Abhay would also make his debut with this movie.
