A case was registered against Tollywood comedian Venu Madhav on Monday after his pet dog bit a 12-year-old boy named Jayamohana Krishna who lives at Maulali Housing Board, Mangapuram Colony. According to the info given by Kushaiguda Inspector K. Venkat Reddy, Jayamohan Krishna was playing outside his home. Meanwhile the star comedian brought his Labrador dog for a evening walk. The boy stopped to greet Venu Madhav but his dog attacked the boy and wounded him severely. The boy suffered injuries at the back of the thigh and is getting treatment at Genia Hospital, ECIL X roads.
The victim’s father Omkar, a trader, alleged that instead of showing concern Venu Madhav started abusing the boy and went away pulling his dog. Mr. Omkar lodged a complaint against the actor - a case of negligence under IPC Section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal). The actor may be produced before magistrate for further action.
