Pratidhwani is a unique film which removed the cliché that Sarada can be confined to only sad and sentiment oriented roles. There are two shades in the character she adorned in this film. While one is the role of a responsible wife, mother, and a sister, the other is a sincere and hard working police officer! While the first role featured her as a peaceful person and relaxed individual, the second role shows her in fiery and aggressive mode. Sarada did complete justice to both these contrasting shades. After the success of Pratighatana in 1985, dialogue writers Paruchuri Brothers designed this female centric role based film. Though Vijayasanti got the name of Tollywood’s Police Officer with Kartvyam which came later, Sarada proved her own style as a Police Officer by doing such role much before.
