Lorry Driver is a commercially successful mass oriented film starring Balakrishna and Vijayashanthi in the lead roles. The film has all the mass oriented elements along with social issues which made it a super hit in the Box Office.
Story Details:
The film is set in the backdrop of Lorry Driver Union who are compelled to work under a power hungry owner and thereby becoming victims of exploitation. The owner acts like he helps our Lorry Drivers to become independent but frame them in smuggling and illegal cases. A fearless Lorry Driver Balamurali(Balakrishna) questions this exploitation and demands rights for the union. An IAS Officer (Sarada) also helps the hero in this regard. Rest of the film is about how the hero fights over the injustice prevailing in the Lorry Driver Profession.
Performances:
Balakrishna is confident in his character of Lorry Driver and delivers par excellence in every frame. Vijayashanthi is ideal as his female lead with mass oriented image. Sarada plays a pivotal role as IAS officer in the film. Brahmanandam generates good laughter as the assistant of the hero.
Technical Aspects:
Dialogues by Paruchuri Brothers is a huge asset for the film. The strong dialogues which question the exploitation and wrong happenings in the society add to the value of it. Music by Chakravarthi is good in commercial value. Direction by B.Gopal is quite crisp and striking on the audience.
