Performances:
Krishna excels in two contrasting roles of Vikrama Simha and Aditya Vardhana with ease. He looks great in the royal attire and carries the stunts, and emotional scenes very well. Jayaprada does a great job as the female lead and performs well along with glamour quotient. Mandakini, a huge heart throb of Indian Cinema after starring in Raj Kapoor’s Ram Teri Ganga Maili is seen in the film adorning a crucial role of Visha Kanya. Radha is confined to glamour in the role of dancer . Gummadi, M. Balayya, Prabhakar Reddy and Kantha Rao suit their respective roles.
Technical Aspects:
The film was penned by Krishna himself and the veteran writer Tripurineni Maharadhi with great perfection. Music by Bappi Lahari stands out with “Akasamlo Oka Taara” becoming a huge hit. The film is made on high production values and superior technologies. Direction by Krishna is very good.
