Lakshmi Narayana (Venkatesh) is an elder son in a family with three brothers and two sisters. He holds Lakshmi Industries factory which is worth crores. Janardhan (Shinde), an ex-employee of Lakshmi Industries who was accused of forgery, plans to take revenge on Lakshmi. So he creates disunion in family. All this leads to the splitting of the siblings where it comes to know that Lakshmi is an adopted son of the family. The rest of the story is how Lakshmi reunites with the family and why villains from Kolkatta chase him.

The film was released in 316 screens overall including other territories. The film was made with a budget of 12 crores and collected Rs. 8 crores in its opening week.On the whole the movie collected around Rs.22 crores. It had a 50-day run in 215 centres and 100-day run in 94 centres which is a record in Venkatesh’s career.

After a gap of 8 years Music director Ramana Gogula composed music for Venkatesh film. Interestingly he made debut in Tollywood with Venky film Premante Idera.

Sidelights
Audio of this film was released at Taramati Baradari (near Golkonda fort) on 18th December 2006. Taramati Baradari is a historical monument where Taramati - the favorite dancer of Kutubshah in 1600's - used to perform.
100 males and females with the name bearing Lakshmi were chosen in a lucky dip and were invited for the audio launch program.
