Long ago, a great drought befell a village. A dancer from a family dances in the Shiva temple for many days and nights. Her dedication to Lord Shiva and the village earn her the respect of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. They bless the village with rains ending the drought. The dancer's dying wish was that a girl from her family must dance on pournami (full moon night) every 12 years in front of Lord Shiva temple. In 1960s, it was the turn of Pournami (Trisha) to dance. She suddenly goes missing.
And there is Chandrakala (Charmee), sister of Pournami. Local Jamindar (Mukul Dev) lusts her and then Siva Kesava (Prabhas) enters. He convinces Chandrakala's father to teach her dance so that she could perform on Pournami. Rest of the story is about how the dance performance takes place.
Trade
There were huge expectations on the movie as the combination of Prabhas – Trisha – Ms Raju yielded a super hit like Varsham earlier. The audio of the movie was promising but the movie fell flat at the box office and was a miserable flop.
Highlights
