B.Tech Babu(Rana) is a young lad who wants to go to US for higher studies and settle there, Rana is an Orphan and is brought by Kota, who is member of Surabhi Drama Company. Rana does some key roles in the dramas with his grandfather. His grandfather is against his wish. He wants Babu to perform eventually in a drama named, "Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum" written by him in Bellary. Devika (Nayanatara) is a TV journalist who comes to Bellary to shoot a documentary on mining mafia. What happens after that? What changes Babu and what he learns in his journey is what the movie is all about.

Rana who had no success at the box office since his debut had pinned high hopes on this movie. The movie was promising before the release as it is being directed by Krish who had very good reputation among A class audience. But after its release, the movie could not reach the expectations and remained as average at box office.
