Veeraiah’s (Tanikella Bharani) son Chotu (Prabhas) was stolen by Chidambaram (Makarand Deshpande). Chidambaram grooms Chotu and lives on his savings. Chotu later comes to know about his past and keeps on requesting him to tell about his parents’ whereabouts. Chotu works as a bounty hunter getting criminals to the police in exchange for money and how he reunites with his parents forms the actual story.

Ek Niranjan released amidst huge hype and expectations of the fans and audience. But the movie fell flat in reaching the expectations of the audience. The movie got good openings but later subdued at the box office. But it is still the biggest grosser in Prabhas’ career during that time.

Ek Niranjan is the second combination of Prabhas and Puri Jagannath. Earlier they have paired up for Bujjigadu which was an average grosser.
Bollywood beauty Kangana Ranaut had made her Tollywood debut with this movie. And it was reported that she was paid a whopping 1 Crore remuneration for the movie.
Sidelights
The art work stood out in the movie. Art director Chinna and his team brought a natural look to their creations a clock tower, a four road junction, by lanes, a Hanuman temple, and dhobi ghat including house sets for the lead pair.
