Subrahmaniam (Prakash Raj) is a middle class government employee who does odd jobs to earn money to give a better life to his motherless children. His son, Karthik (Akash) is a very good cricketer and wants to represent India with the inspiration of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. But Subrahmaniam wants him to study MBA. One fine day, Subrahmaniam hits Karthik and the later goes in to coma.
When his child is struggling on hospital bed, Subrahmaniam learns his mistake and wants to teach the society that studies is not everything in life.
Trade
The movie released with decent expectations and gets a good release by Dil Raju. But the movie failed to impress the audience and ended up as a flop despite the acclaim by the critics.
Highlights
This is the first movie in which Puri Jagannadh’s son Aakash played a full length role after appearing in several movies as child artist.
After directing a Kannada movie, this is Prakash Raj’s second directorial. It is a bilingual made in Telugu and Tamil.
Sidelights
The movie is based on the Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho by Mahesh Manjrekar.
Mugdha Godse was first chosen for the female lead role but was later replaced by Radhika Apte as she fit better in the role.
