Chintakayala Ravi story at a glance
Chintakayala Ravi (Venkatesh) works in a bar in USA and tells his sentimental mother (Lakshmi) back in India that he is working as a software engineer, leading a fancy lifestyle in USA. His mother sets up a girl called Lavanya (Mamata Mohandas) for marriage. Lavanya gets to know about Ravi's real job through her buddy Suneetha (Anushka). The rest of the story is all about what happened between Ravi, Lavanya and Suneetha.

The movie released amidst good expectations and was well received by the audience too. But the movie was severely affected by piracy and it ended up as a commercial failure. -
Highlights
- Venkatesh and Anushka paired up for the first time in this movie. Later she also acted in Venky's Nagavalli.
- Yogi joined hands with Venky for the first time in this movie. He is currently supervising the making of the Telugu version of Ram Charan's Zanjeer.
- NTR has done a special appearance in a song as well.

• Due to his close association with Producer Bujji, NTR had agreed to do a special appearance in the movie.• The movie was extensively shot in USA. With the contacts of Suresh Babu, the movie unit had used the logistics team of Yashraj films, a popular production house in Bollywood.
