Andhrudu story at a glance
Surendra (Gopichand) is an honest and hyper-tempered cop. Archana (Gowri Pandit) is the daughter of police commissioner who hails from Bihar. Surendra and Archana meet accidentally and their relationship blossoms into love soon. And so Parents of both families settle marriage for them. When they are about to get engaged, Surendra expresses his conditions due to Archana overhearing her father's conversation with his long estranged sister on the subject of Archana and Sinha marrying. Surendra takes the blame for the destroyed relationship and Archana goes to Bihar to wed her cousin Sinha (Salim Baig). The rest of the story is all about how Surendra goes to Bihar and wins Archana back.

The film really got very good reviews and mouth talk but Gopichand was in his initial stages of getting recognized as “HERO” at that time and so the movie settled as an above average flick at box office. -
