Akanksha (Catherine Teresa) daughter of central minister (Ramesh Rao) is a psychology student who goes to Spain to pursue higher education and runs into Sanju Reddy (Allu Arjun), a street dancer. However the actual plot starts with a dairy that Akanksha finds in her new home in Spain and out of curiosity she starts reading the book which unfolds the love story between Sanju Reddy & Komali (Amala Paul).
Komali comes from an orthodox Brahmin family and ends up in Spain to learn music from Fiddle Brahma (Brahmanandam) who is a music professor teaching violin. She falls in love with Sanju and gets approval from their parents in India. However, Komali unknowingly gets caught up with the villains because of a video that she accidentally shoots while they kill an Ambassador for money laundering. Sanju saves Komali on a couple of occasions from the villains and this is where the story in the dairy ends abruptly. Out of curiosity Akanksha starts questioning Sanju about their love story and finds some interesting facts.
How the story unveils forms the rest of the movie.
Allu Arjun is the flag bearer carrying the entire movie on his shoulders. If not for him this movie would have been a dud at the box office. Allu Arjun has proved his acting mettle once again and looked uber cool with his trademark dance moves. He gave some electrifying performances; of special mention is his emotions and fight sequence just before the interval. The two heroines are supposed to provide glamor but only Catherine gets an 'A' grade. Eventhough the whole story revolves around Amala Paul she did not have significant presence on the screen.
Ali and Brahmanandam comedy is dull and sober; they have been completely underutilized.
As usual Devi Sri has provided peppy numbers for Allu Arjun especially the first song Run Run & Topu Lesipoddi are foot tapping.Otherwise, the background music is not on par with the scenes.
Kichas fight sequences are amazing, they have been well characterized. Amol Rathods Cinematography is excellent and should be considered to be the real highlights.Even though the movie has been made in Spain none of the locations had the visual impact to the normal eye.
All in All this is Summer Sizzle Retreat for the audience and especially may appeal the younger crowd with dialogues involving BAPANESE and certain satirical conversations between Catherine & Bunny. The stylish star has introduced new trends of fashion for Tollywood justifying his title.
