Nagarjuna is unbelievable at the age of 53. His looks and physique reduce his age by half. He delivers decent performance as a playboy and as usual delivers an overall composed performance. Surprisingly, he put lot of effort into dancing after a long time. Some how Nayantara looked very aged. Her costumes and makeup even mad her look older. Meera Chopra made a comeback to Telugu after a long time and gets a little role. She is okay.
Brahmanandham (especially in the second half) is good as always. Thagubothu Ramesh managed some good laughs. K.Vishwanth, Ashish Vidyardhi and Kota Srinivasa Rao are at their usual self. Rest of the characters are okay.
Dasaradh is one director who gives lot of importance to family emotions in his movies. Greekuveerudu is no different. The story has close resemblances to his earlier movie, Santosham and Mr.Perfect. The screenplay of the movie has good amount of lag in it which hinders audience from getting connected to the movie. He also failed to draw effective performances from his cast due to which there is a disconnect in getting good emotions.
Unlike his usual style, Thaman has given a different album for the movie. He concentrated more on melody than beats this time. Dasaradh seems to have had his impression on him. The rerecording is average . Back ground score could have been a lot better.
Anil Bandari seem to have worked on green mats and blue mats for the first time. Even though, the movie runs in US backdrop, the movie is not at all shot there. The CG and DI work used to illustrate US backdrop is very poor. Senior Editor Marthand K.Venkatesh could have done a lot better. The editing work is very patchy with no connect between the scenes. There is only one fight in the movie which is okay.
First half of the movie is okay with Nagarjuna shouldering most responsibility. The second half of the movie gets a bit slow with Hero's introspection but is manageable. Brahmanandham livens up the screen with his punch dialogues and excellent comedy timing (The conversation with dogs scene deserves a special mention). The movie will go well with the family crowds in the Summer season.
