Lord Srirama (Balakrishna) retains his wife Seeta (Nayantara) comes back to their kingdom Ayodhya, after killing Ravana. One day he hears the sweet news that Seeta is pregnant. Just when everything seems to be fine, Rama comes to know that the people of Ayodhya are discussing about Seeta’s character as she spent one year with Ravana in Lanka. Depressed Rama decides to leave Seeta in forest. She moves to forest and gets the shelter in Valmiki’s (ANR) Aashram. There she gives birth to Lava and Kusha. The rest of the story is how Lava and Kusha unite their parents.

The movie was critically acclaimed and got good positive talk. The movie was made with a budget of 32 crores. The film has completed 50 days in 49 centers at the Box office. But commercially the film did not do well at box office.

The movie won as many as 7 Nandi Awards in the year 2011 and 3 Filmfare Awards and 1 South Indian International Movie Award (SIIMA).
