Krishna Lanka village in East Godavari district lacks behind development, as it has only one way of commuting with other villages. Krishna Lanka's President Bullabbai (Vijay Kumar plans to construct a bridge which fulfills the need of transportation in the village. He requests his IAS friend Venkata Ratnam (Prakash Raj) to help the village. But even after 20 years there won’t be any news from Venkata Ratnam. Bullebbai sends his son Chandu (Ravi Teja) to Hyderabad to meet Venkata Ratnam. After coming to Hyderabad, Chandu realizes that Venkata Ratnam is very money-minded and is least bothered about the Krishna Lanka bridge. The rest of the story is all about how Chandu teaches a lesson to Venkat Ratnam.
