Koti (Ravi Teja) is a wannabe film actor. His aim is to become a film hero and to be called as 'Babu' by the industry folks. Amjad (Prakash Raj) is an auto driver and extremely religious person. His younger brother Azhar (Shafi) goes missing in his childhood.
The cops of Hyderabad arrest a dreadful ISI terrorist Masood. Then the ISI team sends Azhar (who gets trained in ISI) to Hyderabad to create riots and communal tension in the city. Azhar comes to Hyderabad and stays with his brother Amjad. Meanwhile he plots for Masood’s release.
Radha Krishna (Srikanth) is a sincere and powerful cop. His ladylove Swathi (Sonali Bendre) gets killed by ISI forces. The rest of the story is how Koti, Amjad and Radha Krishna fight against the ISI forces.

The song ‘Nuvvu Nuvvu’ was a major hit.
Ravi Teja’s Govinda Givnda song from this film was inspired by Adnan Sami’s “Lift Karadey’

In 2005 Krishna Vamsi remade the movie in Hindi with Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Tushar Kapoor and was titled Insan.
