Born in Punjab and a graduate in Computers Engineering, Tapsee Pannu donned the grease paint unexpectedly and finally is a well known face today in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi film industries.

Personal Life

Taapsee is born in Punjabi Sikh family settled in Delhi. She is the eldest of two daughters of her parents. She completed her schooling in Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. She completed her graduation in Computer science engineering from the Guru Tech Bahadur Institute of Technology in New Delhi and later worked as a software engineer. She went on to develop "fontswap", an application for the iPhone there.
Career

Taapsee is very interested in Modeling since her college days and appeared in numerous commercial ads. She was selected in Channel [V]'s talent show Get Gorgeous, which finally paved way for her acting career.

Taapsee first donned the grease paint for Manchu Manoj’s Jhummandi Naadam. Like every heroine of Raghavender Rao, she was an instant hit with the audience. She went on to sign three other Telugu movies even before the release of the movie. Her Tamil debut movie, Aadukalam also brought her good recognition for her in Tamil land and from there; there is no looking back for her. In the same year, her Malayalam debut movie, Doubles hit the screens.

And from there, Taapsee was never short of offers. Somehow, she was mostly offered second heroines roles for which she was never hesitant to do. After Jhummandi Naadam, she appeared in seven other Telugu movies of which only Mr.Perfect and Sahasam went to become commercial hits.

Her first Bollywood project came after 3 years of her filmy debut, Chashme Buddoor in which she paired alongside Siddharth went on to become a big hit.

Muni-3, a bilingual project in Telugu and Tamil opposite Lawerence is running successfully acorss Tamil Nadu and Tellugu states.

- Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu is also aspiring to make an entry in to films.
- In a recent interview, Taapsee made a shocking statement that she do not believe in Indian marriage and will live together with her chosen one for at least 2 years before marrying him.
