Regina liked acting since her childhood. Since she was the only child her parents encouraged her too. At the age of four, she worked as an anchor for Splash, a kids channel based in Chennai and later appeared in several Ad commercials. And at the age of 14 (in 2004), she made her filmy debut with a little role in a Tamil movie, Kanda Naal Mudhal directed by V. Priya. The next year she acted in one more Tamil film, Yogi in Azhagiya Asura. But the film did not do well due to the lack of publicity even after getting good reviews. Regina's parents urged her to take a break from films and finish her graduation.
During her break from 2006-2010, she acted in several short films and a guest role in a Tamil movie, Panchamirtham. She started her second innings in 2010 with Tamil movie, Suryakaanti. Her first major break came in the form of Telugu movie, Shiva Manasulo Shruti (SMS) besides a new comer, Sudhir Babu. But she managed to tantalize youth with her beauty and later went on to do one more film Routine Love Story besides Sundeep Kishan. Interestingly, both the films did not do well at the box office but that does not stop her from being busy in Telugu.
In 2013, she bagged a big hit in Tamil with Kedi Billa, Kiladi Ranga. 2014 has been memorable so far for Regina with commercial successes of Kotha Janta and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham and Power. Her other release, Ra Ra Krishnayya failed commercially, but won accolades for herself from critics.
During her break, Regina acted in a short film titled ‘Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi’. Actor Siddharth was highly impressed with it and gave the director Balaji Mohan to make a movie of it with the same title in Tamil (Telugu version – Love Failure).
