Personal Life

Rashi Khanna hails from a well to do family in Delhi. Her father was an industrialist and her mother was a housewife. She completed her graduation in English with honours from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi and is currently pursuing her masters in psychology.
Career

During her college days, Rashi was attracted to modeling and she acted in several TV commercials. One day her photograph was published on the cover page of Femina magazine and it totally changed her life. She became very busy as a model but at the same time did not neglect her studies.

During her degree final year, she got a call from the team of Bollywood film, Madras Café. She was cast opposite John Abraham in the movie. The movie got an average result at the box office but was critically acclaimed. After the release of Madras Café, she was chosen for the female lead role in Oohalu Gusagusalade. However her little cameo in Manam as Prema was her first filmy appearance in Telugu.

Oohalu Gusagusalade went to become a big hit in small movies released in 2014. Rashi played the role of Prabhavathi in the movie and it got her immense name and fame. Her second film, Joru opposite Sundeep Kishan is gearing up for release very soon.

- Rashi Khanna always wanted to become a singer since her childhood. She always loves to sing songs and was nicknamed ‘Free Radio’.
- During her college days, Rashi was a member of an NGO which teaches for AIDS affected children. She used to give away half of her earnings to that NGO in those days. She even used to teach the children English on Sundays.
