There are very few heroines in current generation who use their eyes to act and convey feeling onscreen with eyes. Pranitha is the front runner in that category. She made a strong comeback in her second innings with Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi.

Personal Life

Pranitha is born in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Both her parents are well educated. Her father, Subash Anand is a physician and her mother, Jayashri is a gynecologist. They run their own hospital in Bengaluru. Pranitha has no brother and sister.

She completed her schooling from Presidency school and went to Bangalore University for college.
Career

Pranitha first donned grease paint for the Kannada remake of the Telugu blockbuster Pokkiri, opposite Darshan. The movie became a big break for the actress and offers started to flow from Sandalwood. Her next projects were Em Pilla Em Pillado and Siddharth’s Bava. Both the films failed miserably at the box office and applied brakes to her career in Telugu.

During this phase, she moved to Tamil and Kannada film industries and acted in handful of films there. She made her comeback to Telugu very strongly with Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi and is currently becoming busy in Telugu too along with Kannada and Tamil industries. However her recent film, Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda did not do well commercially.

Pranitha was selected for Allu Arjun’s next directed by Trivikram Srinivas. However for reasons best known to the makers, she was immediately replaced by Nitya Menen couple of days after the shooting began.

- Pranitha is a strict vegetarian.
- Pranitha got in trouble after she dumped a Kannada project, Buddhu for a bigger project. The makers even went to the extent of complaining on her in the film chamber but later both the parties settled the issue amicably.
