Madhura Sreedhar developed a deep liking for films since his sixth standard inspired by Chiranjeevi’s Abhilasha movie. But he took the conventional route on his parents’ pressure. He completed his education and worked for 12 years in IT field. Later he entered industry by starting a music company ‘Madhura’ and later on he started a movie magazine ‘Cine Star’.
After getting good contacts developed in industry, he started working on his first script ‘Sneha Geetham’ with all new comers. He did not have a prior experience in movie making but using his experience in IT project making he pulled it through very well. Sneha Geetham was appreciated for its content and it ended up as an average at the box office.
He later on directed two more films – Its my love story and Back Bench Students. Both the movies did not fare well at the box office. But one good thing with Sreedhar is that he effectively markets his films with various innovative techniques and create good buzz for all his films. That’s the reason why his producers are never short of buyers.
In Production:
Madhura Sreedhar always have the reputation of completing his films in less number of working days and reduce the production cost tying up with various corporate brands. So, several small film makers are interested having him in their production teams. He acted as co-producer for Prema Ishq Kadhal which went on to become a decent hit but his recent production Neelakanta’s Maya failed to set the cash registers ringing. He is also producing another film, Ladies and Gentlemen.
