Overview

Despite being a proven industrialist and a philanthropist, Lagadapati Sridhar entered film industry with a passion to encourage contemporary and progressive cinema.

  • Personal Life

    Lagadapati Sridhar is born on June 14th 1968 in Nellore. He is the youngest of three sons to Lagadapati Rama Naidu and Rama Lakshmamma couple. His elder brother Lagadapati Raja Gopal is a reknown politician.

    Sridhar completed his secondary school education from Loyola Public School, Guntur and later finished his intermediate education at Siddarth Arts College,Vijayawada. He completed his Engineering degree from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, Karnataka. Later on he did his Masters in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University (EMU).

    Sridhar married Sirisha in 1995 and the couple is blessed with two sons - Prashant Gaurav and Sahidev Vikram

  • Career

    After completing his Masters, Sridhar was appointed as Joint Managing Director of his family's Lanco Infratech Limited and with in no time, Sridhar with his dynamic qualities rose to the position of the company's Managing Director and later, as its Vice-Chairman. However the interest and passion he always had for cinema made him walk towards Tollywood. He established Larsco Entertainment banner along with wife Sirisha in 2003.

    The first film under their banner was Evadi Gola Vaadidi, a comedy film directed by EVV Satya Narayana. The film was a super success and even completed its silver jubilee. Larsco Entertainments’ second film was Style directed and acted by choreorapher turned director Raghavendra Lawrence. The movie was again a blockbuster and its Tamil dubbed version was also a decent success there.

    However, Larsco Entertainments was not lucky with their third film,Viyyalavaari Kayyalu. The film starring Uday Kiran made them to taste failure for the first time. Later on they opted for a break of three years and came back in 2010 with Sneha Geetham. The film directed by Madhura Sridhar was rather an acclaimed film than a huge commercial success. After Sneha Geetham, they opted for one more break and came back with an out and out commercial potboiler like Potugadu (2013) starring Manchu Manoj which was a commercial success.

    • Sridhar is a sports and fitness freak. He keenly follows Cricket and Golf.
    • Sridhar is a trustee of his family's charity organization, Lanco Foundation. Later he also started Sri Prasahi Charities along with his wife Sirisha.
