Isha Chawla was born to SK Chawla and Veenu Chawla couple in Delhi on March 6^th, 1988. SK Chawla is a working professional and his wife Veenu is a home maker. The couple also has two more daughters, Sajal and Ankitha.  Isha is the youngest of all.

Isha Chawla completed her schooling from Modern High School Delhi. She studied political science from KHALSA College, Delhi University and obtained her graduation there.

Isha Chawla started her career with theatre group what IFF Mumbai. She got trained in acting from  Baary John Acting Studio in a three month training program. Later on she appeared in a handful of commercial ads and many corporate shoots.

Isha first donned the grease paint for Telugu movie, Prema Kavali beside Sai Kumar son, Aadi who is also making his debut with the film. The film was a decent hit then but did not bring any offers to Isha. She went back to Delhi and acted in a theater play for disabled children in Gurgoan.

RR Movie Makers who produced Isha’s debut film also gave her two more chances. She acted beside Sunil in Poolarangadu and beside senior actor Balakrishna in Srimannarayana. Poolarangadu was a commercial hit but Srimannarayana disappointed at the box office. Isha got decent marks as an actress in both the films but they did not help her career very much.

She later once again paired up with Sunil in Mr.Pellikoduku, a remake of Bollywood film, Tanu Weds Manu. The movie however ended up as a big flop.  2014 is also disappointing for Isha Chawla as her Jump Jilani failed to rake in good numbers and films like RUM and Dummy were put on hold due to various issues.

• There were rumours that Sunil and Isha Chawla were looking at each other. Reports say the former was taking too much of interest in Isha Chawla and insisting for her in his movies. But both Sunil and Isha rubbished all of them as baseless rumours.
• In 2012, she quit twitter over a hate campaign unleashed on her by few miscreants regarding her 'lip-lock' with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the song 'Thak Thai' in Srimannarayana movie.
