With his relation with Gunnam Ganga Raju, Yeleti joined the FONTS greetings company and worked for him. Later he joined as assistant director for Gunnam Ganga Raju for Little Soldiers film. After the film there were no projects in hand for Ganga Raju and Yeleti then approached K.Raghavender Rao who got a contract of making ad films for AP government then.
Later Gunnam Ganga Raju started Just Yellow and planned to make three serials per year. He offered Chandra Sekhar Yeleti one and thus he directed the first 10 episodes of famous sitcom, Amrutham. It was then he went to Gunnam Ganga Raju and said he was ready to direct a film, the later responded positively and that is how ‘Aithe’ was made. The film went on to become a big hit and also got him a National Award.
After a two years gap, Yeleti came back with Anukokunda Oka Roju with Charmee in the lead role. The film was a decent grosser then. And again there was a gap of two years, in 2007 he directed Gopichand in Okkadunnadu. The film went on to bag critics’ appreciation but not much money. The same is the case with his 2009 film Prayanam starring Manchu Manoj.
His most recent film, Sahasam starring Gopichand was a success at the box office but the movie budget was way beyond Gopichand’s market and ended up as a cost failure.
