Sometimes it happens when a writer is too busy to cope up with the busy schedule, a ghost writer takes care of few works. Famous film writer Samudrala Senior shared many of his works with eminent writer Malladi Ramakrishna Sastry. Many film stories, dialogues and songs written by Malladi were credited to Samudrala and were published under his authorship. More importantly, people used to easily guess Malladi’s style of writing given his impressive vocabulary and deep philosophy in his works.
During those days, when renowned lyricist Arudra, once happened to meet Samudrala, he brought out this topic and asked, “Rumors are that Malladi is acting as a ghost writer for you. Is it true?”.
With a smile, Samudrala gave a sportive reply, “Brother! Your name is ‘Bhagavathulu Sivasankara Sastri’ and your pen name is ‘Arudra’. Similarly, my name is ‘Samudrala Senior’ and my pen name is ‘Malladi Ramakrishna Sastry’.
