One day in Madras, a producer went on sneaking around like a spy in a recording studio, to find his need of the hour. The producer got all the songs in his film recorded, of which the director didn’t like one song. He asked the producer for a new song that had to be written and recorded on the same day. This left the producer with no choice but to scout for a lyricist and he was lucky enough to find the legendary lyricist Arudra in the same recording studio.
Without any delay the producer introduced himself to Arudra, explained him the situation and requested him to pen down the song. Arudra got his brief for the song and agreed to write it as soon as he could. He found a comfortable place in one corner of the studio and put his magical pen on the paper. 40 minutes passed and a beautiful song evolved from his unparalleled skill of writing. The director was more than happy with the song and the producer inquired Arudra about his remuneration. Without much hesitation, Arudra told them his remuneration, which gave the producer a jaw-drop moment. The one who folded hands with deep respect and obedience started to act all surprised and said, “Such high remuneration for a song that you finished in just 40 minutes?”. On hearing this, Arudra simply smiled and brushing his beard gently, he replied, “Behind this 40 minutes song lies my 40 years of experience!”. Having listened to what the great lyricist said, the producer immediately regretted his stupidity and offered Arudra his remuneration.
