Just as the name suggests, she has a beautiful smile and an adorable persona. She takes the top place of all the leading actresses of her time. She’s who else but Suhasini, an amazing actress who speaks with her smile. She believed more in expressing than exposing. Her brilliant performance in the movie SindhuBhairavi can never be forgotten. One can talk for hours together about her acting in the film only to end up realizing there is much more. Her hard work paid and she won the National Award for the same in 1986. Before Sindhu Bhairavi, she acted in one more Tamil film called, NenjathaiKilladhe that was equally appreciated which should have won her the National Award. But she missed it because of the then Chairman V. Santharam.
It was said that Santharam was keen on giving the award to Smitha Patil (For the film Chakra) who was also a Maharashtian like him. With this twist in the story, Suhasini couldn’t make it to the award and Smitha Patil grabbed it instead. With that being said, one can add that regional feelings help actors grab national awards. Sounds strange, but nevertheless the zealous actress in Suhasini woke up to its best and performed amazingly well in Sindhu Bhairavi which won her the National Award leaving few people, a lesson to learn. She proved what she is! Didn’t she?
