UTV acquires Suriya's next

Suriya’s acting career has seen some of the best times in recent years. However, nothing can compare to the hat trick he achieved in 2003-04. However, if sources are to be believed this time, the star’s next movie is coming up under a huge banner. UTV, the house that never misses out on predicting and creating hits has acquired the first copy of the yet-to-be titled film by Suriya that has been directed by Lingusamy. What seems to be a clever move to keep market interest in the movie right from the start, the Producers are keeping it all hushed up till Pongal this year. As is well known, the movie’s first look will be released on January 14th, to coincide with the Pongal celebrations. Audiences are looking forward to more of Suriya magic, as this film has him play the lead against Samantha in a role that is primarily romantic.

About The Movie :

The film is going to be directed by none other than N. Lingusamy, the director who gave the industry high promise right from his first venture Aanandham. His consecutive films may not have done well in the box-office, but all of them came with the assurance for Lingusamy fans that a lot of talented thinking is yet to come out from the director’s closet. Each movie received positive reviews, and launched new or lesser known stars in a big way in the industry. The fact that Suriya had teamed up with Lingusamy itself has heightened expectations from fans to such a degree that producers like UTV have noted the potential market expectations and are giving it a serious thought. With UTV taking over the movie, we can expect more exotic sets and locales in the movie, something that is very important in making a romantic flick come to live on screen.

A Golden Combination : Suriya and Lingusamy

Suriya knows how to keep his audience riveted to the screen.  Movies like Ghajini, Aaru, Kaakha Kaakha, are all examples of Suriya’s triumph with action movies. The power that the start exudes in his action roles is no match for the confidence with which he performs romantic roles. While Lingusamy specializes in creating light hearted movie magic, Suriya specializes in creating powerful performances out of light roles. Like everybody else, we look forward to the first look of this movie, just as we await a confirmed title for the flick. Two big names with a loud producer, what else can we ask for?
