Introduction
It is one of the prestigious matters to receive a Padma Shri in one’s life. It is categorized as the national award for the contribution in different fields like Education, Arts and Literature, Science and Medicine, Sports, Social Contributions and even matters concerning public affairs by the government of India. Not every individual can make up to this level and be honored. Known as the fourth high ranked civilian award Padma Shri is being backed by a lot of known faces from different arenas. It’s a matter of respect and pride but the violation of this honorary title is not very much welcomed by the government of India. According to the Constitution of India this title cannot be misused or violated by any of its citizen, irrespective of the designation.
Tollywood actor cum director known popularly as the king of collection and dialogue was awarded in the year of 2007 by the Government of India. The very famous actor and comedian, Brahmanandam was awarded with the Padma Shri in the year of 2009 for his contribution to the field of art as he has completed a total of 900 movies in just twenty five years.
Into Controversy
Now these two famous personalities have come together for working in the movie Denikaina Reddy. This movie is produced by Mohan Babu, who is starring his own son Vishnu Manchu opposite to the beautiful Hansika Motwani. The film has already been into controversy for hurting the sentiments of the whole Brahmin Community through some scenes which is totally against their cast. As a result the whole community protested but was suppressed somehow by the superiority of the producer and the total crew.
But this controversy was nothing compared to what the high court has ordered to Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam. It was a shocker for the whole industry as these two famous personalities were answerable to the whole court. It was reported that these two personalities were misusing the title of Padma Shri in the movie promotion.
It was reported by the senior BJP leader N.Indraseena Reddy to cancel the honorary title and the award Padma Shri of these two actors. It was found that that the award was being used as a title for prefix before the names of the mentioned personalities. Thereby it was the final verdict that the Padma Shri should be returned as the rules are violated according to the article 18 of the constitution. They were also asked to give a written request in order to cancel the honor.
The counsel for Mohan Babu claimed that it was not done on any purpose or to flatter the audience. Though it was not considered since the title was anyhow misused and it would not be compromised in any case. The producer was later blamed for running a private limited company. So both the popular artists are under charge now, till they return the award.

The fate of this controversy is much awaited news for the industry and the fans. It is prayed that the New Year doesn’t turn any grey for these celebrities.
