Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ preview: Here’s what the finale of the epic saga has in store
As the days are numbered, and Baahubali 2 is about to release across all halls around the country, the conclusive part of this epic saga have become viral as it has shown unprecedented demand beyond the south too. Everywhere, Baahubali 2 has been sold out or is in the processing of doing so. While the first part was a smashing hit in the south and did more than decent business in the Hindi-speaking belt, this is on a different scale altogether.
It has been worth the wait, and it will be worth the wait apparently. Baahubali 2 has been the rare film from south India that has proved its worth in the larger section of the country. if social media hubbub and the love showered by people both offline and online is anything to go by, then it is evident that people have slowly fallen in love with the franchise and they have accepted it as a story of their own. In fact, there has been a question that has kept everyone hooked and it is precisely why Baahubali 2 has garnered so much attention.
The burning question
The question that is shaking up the nation currently is this: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? The answer is obviously there in this part and it is precisely why you need to watch it. An article in the internet claimed that in Tamil Nadu, the film’s tickets have been sold off until 2nd May, such is the craze. People have been posting videos of queues that spiral across the road or queues that have started from the morning.
Such extraordinary scenes at the advanced booking have created such unprecedented demand that multiplex owners are now squeezing out other shows to accommodate this film. Everyone from all strata of the society is in the queue and most tickets have been booked by all sorts of powerful people like government officials, politicians etc. The highest price of the ticket is currently 2400 rupees, spotted in Delhi. Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, is going to receive the widest possible release of the film across 650 screens. Baahubali 2 is becoming a phenomenon and surely the most anticipated film in the history of Indian cinema. Whether it lives up to the hype is to be seen.
Mad rush at the websites
People are paying extra rupees at the online portals once the booking opened there. Although the tickets are of 20% higher price, some people are not minding paying the extra 500 rupees if that means you are getting the tickets confirmed. A recent screenshot doing rounds in the publicity of Baahubali 2 shows how various multiplexes in Delhi and its surroundings already shows house-full sign when you try to book tickets online through various portals.
The earlier version was released across 4,000 screens and did a more than decent business of 600 crores. However, the scale of this release is truly global as 9,000 screens have been allotted to it. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, similar to the first parts. The film is all set to a 100 crores opening at the box office, a fit only achieved by the superstars of Bollywood until now.
In fact, the overseas scenario has surprised everyone as it has received one lakh advanced bookings in Dubai and in US alone; it has received 1,100 screens, an achievement for Indian cinema. Globally, Baahubali may well become Indian cinema’s greatest hit given the scale of the release. Already, it has done 500 crores worth business even before its release. So, the amount of business it is going to do in the coming few days is going to break quite a few records.
