Sequels are something that popular cinema cannot do without and such is the case with films of south India too. Among the many famous sequels, the film Vellai Illa Pattadhaari or affectionately known as VIP is also releasing its sequel. The one who would be returning in VIP 2 is none other than one of the biggest stars in south, Dhanush. His famous role of Raghuvaran is going to be recreated for the new film.

For example, Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is going to direct the film, is related to Dhanush because of being sister-in-law. In fact, she comes with an experience to work with big stars such as Rajinikanth himself. Moreover, Anirudh is going to produce the melodies with the help of Sean Roldan. Dhanush is also coproducing the film along with V creations, a production house owned by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. Dhanush has even a more major role to play in the film because he has also penned the dialogues.

Dhanush has shown a steady growth of his career as he has consistently performed well. Already, at a young age, he has thirty-three films to his credit and most of them have been chartbusters in Tamil. However, this is his attempt to fetch a good deal of Telugu market audience since he wants to extend his fame beyond the borders. Dhanush has already achieved some amount of critical fame which has helped his case.

Not only the director is female in this context, but also there are strong female characters in the film. Kajal and Manjima mohan are also offered extremely important roles which mean that the film is looking at all the possibilities that could produce a big hit out of it.
