Arbaaz coming back south
Arbaaz Khan is not new to Tollywood. The actor who is also a director and producer now has worked in the Telugu film industry in the past. He is recently in Hyderabad for a shoot and he did talk to the media about his absence from Telugu films for a long time and his much awaited comeback.
Career in Tollywood and new projects
The last time he was working in the industry was in 2005. He, surprisingly, played the role of a villain in the film Jai Chiranjeeva that also starred megastar Chiranjeevi. It might still be a coincidence that this time his role is also of negative category. However, he doesn’t have to go head to head with another veteran Tollywood superstar but a much younger, bright youngster Raj Tharun.
The obvious question that was asked to him was that why he chose to not work in Tollywood for more than a decade. Answering the question, he talked about how he did not get good roles in Tollywood. He cited Jai Chiranjeeva not doing well as a bad and bumpy start to his time in Tollywood and said that it was a major reason why he did not get meaty roles like he was expecting. He also talked about his roles as a director and producer and why and how they are different from that of an actor. He added that even though people think the job of an actor is easy, it is not so and that there are certain standards that he expects to meet when it comes to acting performances and he didn’t think he was getting that in Tollywod anymore. This time he is in town shooting for a film named Tera Intezaar which also stars beauty queen Sunny Leone.
He talked about how his Telugu film has an impressive cast and crew and that Vamsi Krishna will be directing it. Arbaaz was impressed by the fact that Vamsi had his vision clear and that it was an absolute delight to share the platform of work with a director who was young, talented and full of exciting ideas. Arbaaz Khan has worked with some of the biggest stars in Bollywood and really veteran actors. He is someone who knows how to deal with big shots in the industry and get the maximum out of them but at the same time he was gracious enough to add that he has had no problems whatsoever in working with a young actor like Raj Tharun.
