The movie “NTR Kathanayakudu” which is going to be re released worldwide on 9 Jan has already started winning the hearts of the fans with the posters, teaser and the theatrical trailer. It has already done a pre-release business of about 100 cr.
The response pre-release
The movie has got a wonderful response even before its release to its trailers and posters. Fans of NTR and Balakrishna have celebrated the trailer by erecting a 100-ft cut out of Balakrishna in Hyderabad. The Nizam rights for the movie are sold for 13.5 cr , Ceeded area for 12 crores and overseas rights are sold for 10 crores. Combining all the other distributors, the movie can be said to have already made a pre-release business of about 100 crores. One of the main reasons for this love could be attributed to the love for NTR and his image in the hearts of the people.
About the movie
The movie NTR Kathanayakudu is the biopic of the legendary actor and the late chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama rao. The son of NTR himself, Nandamuri Balakrishna will be seen playing the role of his father in the movie. Vidya balan is the female lead in the movie who will be seen playing the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam. The movie is being produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha and Vishnu Induri under the banners of NBK films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram and Vibri Media. The music of the movie is being done by M.M Keeravani. The role of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be played by the antagonist of the baahubali series, Rana Daggubati.
The movie was announced in march 2018. The launch of the film in Hyderabad was done in the presence of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. The behind the scenes images were shared by Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his twitter posts. The pictures showed Nandamuri Balakrishna dressed as the character of Duryodhana from the 1977 NTR movie Daana Veera Soora Karna.
This movie is the first part of the tw- part biographical series based on the life of NTR. The first part showcases the film career of NTR.
The movie is already widely liked by the audience and is already one the most anticipated movies of the year 2019.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao has worked in over 250 movies and had served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years in three terms. He is regarded as one of the best actors not only in Telugu industry but in the Indian movie industry as a whole. He also was a producer, director, and editor. He has won several awards over his lifetime which include getting voted the Greatest Indian actor of all time in a CNN IBN national poll that was conducted in 2013.He was born on 28 may 1925 and passed away on 18 January 1996 aged 70.
