After the blockbuster Rangasthalam, it was the second major film by the music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) within a year. He is back with mainstream commercial music after a totally folk-based music of Ram Charan’s film.
Bharat Ane Nenu’s music is typical of Mahesh Babu Film from the title track to the zippy-sprightly music, it is all like Mahesh’s usual flavour. The most intriguing fact of the album is not its music but the variety of artists who sang for this film, DSP has surprised us all with his combination of artists from Farhan Akhtar to Kailash Kher to Andreiah along with others it is a cocktail of singers.
The lyricist of Bharat Ane Nenu thinks that every song in the film carries a message
The lyricist of the film Ramajogaiah Sastry has written all five songs seems to be overjoyed with the response the songs are getting after they went viral. He admitted that he took enough time to write these lyrics because for him it was important to understand the feel of the film. He travelled to the locations, talked to the crew and the editing team before started writing the songs.
The two songs Vachaadayyo Saami sang by Kailash Kher and the title track Bharat Ane Nenu topping the charts with 4.4 million and 9.3 million views respectively, Sastry believes that the message that was aimed to send through Bharat’s journey has definitely reached the people.
DSP brought Farhan Akhtar to Tollywood
DSP or Devi Sri Prasad, the music director of Bharat Ane Nenu is fondly called Rockstar in Tollywood for his zippy, groovy, foot tapping music. It was amply evident in the song “I don’t know”, as soon as someone hears it he will immediately understand it as a DSP tune. Interestingly enough the song has been sung by Bollywood actor-singer-producer-director Farhan Akhtar. It is Farhan’s first shot at Telegu song and he did well.
This particular song made in a lighter tone in an otherwise serious role played by Mahesh Babu has been able to capture the imagination of the music lovers along with the other songs of the film.
“Vachaadayyo Saami”- a song to celebrate the hero
“Vachaadayyo Saami”- loosely translated as “The saviour has come” is essentially a song to celebrate the good deeds of the hero in the film. It describes the how the hero has touched people’s lives and with what deed. The song sung by Kailash Kher and Divya Kumar has a folk appeal and it is the third single to release after The song of Bharat and I don’t know.
