She has made her Tamil debut with the upcoming film Dhruva Natchathiram, acting opposite famous actor Chiyaan Vikram and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. She also has played a crucial role in VIP 2 opposite Dahnush under the direction of Soundarya Rajinikanth.
And now, she has bought another lottery ticket. Reports say that she has signed up opposite Dulquer Salmaan and it will be her second Tamil film as lead actress. The director of this movie is a debutant, Desingh Periyasamy who has won many awards for his short films.
About the movie, the director Desingh said that it would be romantic one with a thriller. The movie is said to be bilingual (Tamil and Telegu) and will start shooting by the end of this year. The movie is planned to be shoot at Chennai, Goa and Delhi. The movie is yet to have a tiltle.
Sources claim that the directors of this movie had considered many actresses before zeroing in on Ritu. If this film is a success, the actress will be on par with some big actors for Tollywood.
Not only the actress, the main actor of this film Dulquer is currently the busiest Malayalam actor. His projects range from Malayam to Tamil, Telegu and even includes Hindi. He is currently working on debut Hindi movie Karwaan with Irrfan Khan and debutante Mithila Palkar. Dulquer plays a cool youngster, Sidhharth, whose friends call him Sid in this movie. The actor knowing for trying out new looks, will also sport a trendy look in thisupcoming film.
