Big efforts for big film
Veteran, high profile director SS Rajamouli was not expected to give any slack when it came to the making of second installment of the Baahubali series and he is really sparing no expense or energy in pulling Baahubali : The Conclusion off. It is only fair to the fans of the highest grossing Indian film ever made that its sequel is just as good and is an even bigger hit than the first one.
Roping in a foreign consultant
To ensure this, the makers of the film have roped in stunt choreographer Lee Whittaker, one of the most highly reputed stunt supervisors in the Hollywood industry. Whittaker has worked on composing stunts for worldwide blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, The Spy Next Door etc. This is not his first time working in India and he has already composed stunts for the first installment of Baahubali, Viswaroopam 2, and Lingaa. Rumors suggest that the shooting process for Baahubali : The Conclusion is going on at a rapid pace and full flow and many of the hardcore action sequences are being shot in Hyderabad during the night. Reports also suggest that a big number of long and high range cranes are also being used to shoot these sequences. Needless to say that a lot of money are being invested in the project. However, Baahubali’s recent success at the National Awards and the film becoming the first Telugu film to win the Best Picture Award ( along with the Best VFX Award) must be a big boost for each and every member of the cast and crew of Baahubali. However, their success has been criticized and seen in a negative light by many film pundits of the South who believe that there have been far better and socially way more significant films made in Tollywood in the past that could have won the best picture award but did not. Regardless, the fans of the film are ecstatic about the news are eagerly waiting for the second part. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to state that maybe Baahubali : The Conclusion is the most eagerly anticipated and awaited film in India presently.
The world is waiting
A lot of that has to do with how the storyline ended in the first movie. Baahubali follows the story of Shiva who in the course of the film scales the cliffs of a waterfall for a girl and through a series of action packed adventures realizes that he is the son of the former king of the Kingdom which has been taken over by his evil, tyrannical cousin and that his father was killed by his most trusted warrior. This is where the film ends. The film boasted of some of the best visual effects the Indian audiences have ever seen and there has been a lot of hype about the action in the second film in which the main battle between Shiva and the chief antagonist, played by Rana Daggubati is going to play out. The film also stars Tamannah, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan etc.
