From Miss Uttarakhand to Tollywood star
Lavanya Tripathi has come a long way from being Miss Uttarakhand to enjoying overwhelming success in the Telugu film industry. Her journey in the last nine years since her school days till now has been nothing short of spectacular. Back to back hits like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Soggade Chinni Nayana have put the spotlight on her but she refuses to let this success get to her head and wishes to grow more as an actor and deliver even better performances in the future.
Back in 2006, when she was still studying in school, Lavanya won the Miss Uttarakhand award. Having the support of her parents and a fair share of luck, she got a role in a show when a television crew visited Dehradun for a shoot. This led her to Mumbai where she bagged a role in a TV serial and gained some much needed experience and lessons on how to cope with the pressure of the entertainment industry. 
Move to Tollywood
After moving to Tollywood, she made her debut in Andala Rakshashi where her performance was praised and she started getting more offers from other directors. However it is her success in the film Bhale Bhale that not only gave her a major boost in confidence but also encouraged her to do films like Soggade Chinni Nayana where she shared the screen with Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan, Sonal Chauhan etc. She played the role of a traditional Indian woman in the film. However, she said she is willing to take up more contemporary or modern roles if she likes the script given to her but maintained that she won’t do such a role just for the sake of it. She also expressed her wish to act in roles that would help her rediscover her strengths and determine her weaknesses as an actor. She wants to challenge herself and move out of her comfort zone and do roles that would also encourage the audience to perceive the film differently. In her upcoming film Lachhimdeviki O Lekkundi LOL, she is playing the role of three women with very different characteristic features and while it was difficult to deliver the performance with such versatility and style, it can be hoped that she won’t disappoint her fans.
