Lingaa (Linga) movie has been released last Friday in Tamil and Telugu. The expectation and the hype created was huge as it stars the biggest superstar of Tamil and Telugu industry Rajnikanth. The box office collection was massive initially, but Rajnikanth’s Linga movie review and ratings are not up to the standard.
Initially, Lingaa (Linga) movie trailer was a huge hit among the viewers, and trade experts suggested the movie to be a record breaker. The main reason behind its success was Rajnikanth as he arrives after two years.
Director KS Ravikumar’s Lingaa (Linga) has all the ingredients and masala for Telugu moviegoers. Rajnikanth plays the double role in this movie, and his heroines are Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha (Bollywood fame). Sonakshi Sinha in Lingaa (Linga) movie was a big surprise as no one expected this Bollywood diva to star in a Telugu movie. However, both Anushka and Sonakshi have got the limelight in front of Megastar Rajnikanth. This new Telugu movie also stars Jagapathi Babu, Santhanam, and Brahmanandam.
The first half of Linga is said to be very exciting with action and comedy, but it slips in the second half portion. The flashback story is said to be the main distraction among the Telugu viewers.

Trade expert Vijay Kumar says: “Yes it is a Rajnikanth film with a heavy dose of action and comedy and masala ingredients but the biggest drawback is the plot review where it fails miserably in the latter part. The review rank and the user ratings clearly suggest that a major portion of the audience has not liked the film. The reason would be the same expected plot and performances. Nothing new has been offer to the viewers, and they are not satisfied. Lingaa (Linga) Rajnikanth meant to be a huge never seen affair. Although the larger than life role was there, but the uniqueness was missing big time. In the box office Lingaa (Linga) has taken a massive start but sadly it will falter very badly in the coming days”.
