Remakes are surely making rounds across the country and such is the case with Hunterr. This time, however, the remake is not being made into Bollywood from South. Rather, Telugu cinema is now at the forefront of making a remake of that film.
The film is supposedly titled Soggadu and will feature a debutant director Naveen Medaram who will have to work with Srinivas Avarsarala.
A nicely balanced narrative
While the film has the undertones of comedy with a slightly lewd sense, the balance of emotion and bold scenes is commendable. From the look of it, it is easily dismissible as an adult comedy.
However, beyond the layer of comedy, as Srinivas suggests, there is plenty of depth in the portrayal of characters. He claims that the second half is going to surprise everyone because of the strong emotional content.
Still not completed but high anticipations
It is surely going to leave a mark in the debutant director’s career. However, since the film is not complete yet, the director did not comment much. The film had hit the floor for the basic shooting purposes even before he joined the set during August.
The female characters
Female characters play a very important role in the film since there are three important characters that help to keep the narrative moving. Tejaswi Madivada is supposed to play Srinivas’s girlfriend and she is very excited about being a college girl again.
There is also Sree Mukhi and Tanikella Bharani in the other lead roles. All of them seem very anticipative of the new possibility that the film offers. While this kind of film has not featured much in the Telugu cinema framework, it may well be a daring and successful move that others may follow eventually. Since Hunterr itself was a surprise hit, it can also be the same in this case.
