2015 was nothing short of a festival for the Nandamuri fans because all the stars scored big hits at the box office. Leading from the front was Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna who had back to back hits with Simha and Legend. So, it was natural to have high expectations on the movie Lion. Though the subject was good, it was clear that the director Satyadev could not justify the image of someone like Balayya in a commercial role. It lacked the ammunition that Balayya films have and due to that, the result came out to be a disaster.
