This film marked the debut of Akkineni Akhil, son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala, into Tollywood. With sensational director V V Vinayak wielding the megaphone and a credential that he gives good launch to debutantes, the film came in with expectations. The fact that it had a very different backdrop with an interesting storyline, everything looked perfect. But as soon as the movie released, it became clear that the film didn’t have enough material to justify the hype and expectations. The bright side is, Akhil’s skills in dance and stunts got appreciations.
